EVIDENCE BEFORE CLAIMS

Original thinking.
A verifiable record.

Give your research or invention a clear digital record. Seal the exact text, keep its unique fingerprint, and look for related work — without publishing your content.

For researchers, inventors & patent professionals.

Your text is encrypted before it is stored. How your data is kept safe

A CONSIDERED WORKFLOW

From original work
to a record you can check.

You keep creating. Keep the evidence organized alongside it.

01

Record what you have.

Submit the exact text of your work. The service encrypts it and records a digital fingerprint in a linked ledger.

02

Keep your evidence.

Save your receipt and one-time reveal key immediately. Your key is not recoverable through the platform.

03

Check. Compare. Review.

Look up a fingerprint, inspect the public ledger, or opt in to monitoring for potentially related research.

01 / CONFIDENTIAL RECORD

Document the work.
Keep the details sealed.

A private text deposit, a SHA-256 fingerprint, and a downloadable receipt. Public author and title fields are your choice, not the default.

02 / RESEARCH MONITORING

Follow related work.
Review what matters.

Compare opt-in deposits and search Crossref scholarly metadata. Similarity scores are leads for careful review, never infringement verdicts.

CLARITY IS PART OF THE SERVICE

Know what your
record establishes.

Useful evidence starts with precise boundaries. A deposit does not grant a patent, establish ownership, or decide infringement.

A content fingerprint
Lets you check whether exact text or file bytes match a recorded hash. It does not identify who created the work.
An independent time bound
A verified third-party RFC 3161 checkpoint supports existence by the TSA’s signed time. An earlier server timestamp is not independently attested. How to verify it.
A similarity result
Points to potentially related material within the sources searched. It is not proof of copying or a legal conclusion.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A few important details.

Does a deposit make my invention public?

Not by default. The public ledger shows the fingerprint and event information, while the deposited text is encrypted at rest. Publishing your author and title is optional. A later reveal makes the exact text public and is irreversible. Public metadata, content length, and guessable hashes can still disclose information.

Where does encryption happen?

On the server, after you submit text over HTTPS in a correctly configured deployment. This is not client-side or zero-knowledge encryption. The deposited text is encrypted at rest; private titles and account metadata are stored separately. Only the local fingerprint calculator keeps your selected file or text entirely on your device.

Is the timestamp independently verified?

Only after a valid external RFC 3161 checkpoint covers your deposit. The deployment uses a third-party RFC 3161 time-stamp authority chosen by the operator, and a background worker; until a request and its signature are successfully verified, your record remains pending. The signed TSA time is an upper bound on existence, not an attestation of the earlier server-clock time. Download and independently verify your inclusion proof.

What does research monitoring cover?

Crossref scholarly titles and abstracts where available, and deposited works whose owners opted in to comparison. It does not search every patent, repository, or website. MinHash is a text-similarity method and can miss related ideas or flag unrelated work. Scheduled scanning requires the optional worker service.

YOUR NEXT STEP

YOUR WORKSPACE

Make room for your next idea.

Sign in to manage sealed deposits and research watches. Public verification does not require an account.

Account access is not identity verification. Email ownership and legal identity are not verified in this technical beta.

01 / CONFIDENTIAL RECORD

Create a sealed deposit.

Record the exact text of your work and receive its digital fingerprint. Your content stays sealed unless you choose to reveal it.

Sign in before you submit. Your draft stays on this page while you switch views.

Work details

All text fields are required.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

A self-declared name, not a verified identity.

Avoid sensitive invention details, especially if you later publish this title.

The exact UTF-8 text determines the fingerprint.

Reveal previously sealed contentOptional. This makes the exact text permanently public.

Revealing is irreversible. Your original text becomes public. Review the consequences before proceeding.

02 / RESEARCH MONITORING

Related work. A clearer view.

Create a watch, compare opt-in records, and search Crossref scholarly metadata. Every result is a lead for human review, not a finding of infringement.

Sign in to manage research watches. Public verification remains available without an account.

Set up a watch

Describe the work you want to compare. Both fields are required.

This title is sent to Crossref when you run a scan.

Use only content you consent to monitor.

What is stored?

Your text is processed temporarily. A MinHash sketch is stored instead of the raw text; it can still expose limited information about vocabulary.

INDEPENDENT TIME EVIDENCE

External timestamp receipts

The TSA-signed time is separate from server capture time. Export receipts, or use public lookup for a deposit inclusion proof. Verify independently with OpenSSL.

Loading recorded receipts…

Local integrity is not independent proof of time. An operator can rewrite an entirely unanchored history. Check exported third-party receipts independently.

PUBLIC VERIFICATION · NO ACCOUNT NEEDED

Verify a fingerprint.

Have a SHA-256 hash? Look it up in the public ledger. Have the original file or text? Calculate its fingerprint on your device first.

Search the public ledger

Only the fingerprint is sent for lookup, not your source content.

A content hash or an event hash. Hexadecimal characters: 0–9 and a–f.

Ready when you are.

Matching events and their external-anchor coverage will appear here.

OPTIONAL FIRST STEP

Calculate on your device

Your selected file or pasted text is not uploaded by this calculator.

Calculates the hash of the file’s exact bytes. A file takes precedence over pasted text.

or use exact text

Whitespace and line breaks affect the result. For a text deposit, use the exact text you submitted, not a formatted document file.

Calculated fingerprint

The result also fills the lookup field. Choose “Verify in ledger” to search.

INTERPRET THE RESULT CAREFULLY

A match is not an ownership claim.

Matching a content hash supports byte-for-byte equality, not authorship, ownership, patent rights, or infringement. A local audit alone cannot prevent an operator from rewriting an entire unanchored history. Independently verify any third-party time receipts.
